Stupid Criminals: Woman Sets Her Family’s House on Fire Trying to Hide Her Crack Pipe

In this edition of Stupid Criminals we find a woman so desperate to keep her crack addiction from her family, she accidentally sets the family house on fire.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, 30-year-old Juliana Broverio of North Palm Beach, Florida sent her mom to pick up her two kids from school on Friday so she could stay home and smoke some crack.

She got so consumed by her crack smoking that she was still going at it when her mom and kids got home.  But Broverio didn't want them to see her hitting the pipe, so she threw it in the linen closet, and went to hang out with them.

Unfortunately Juliana didn't realize that her crack pipe was still hot, or maybe she did realize it but didn't think about what could happen, or she just didn't care.

The heat from the crack pipe set the stuff in the linen closet on fire, then the entire closet went up in flames, causing the family to evacuate.

Fortunately no one was hurt, but the fire caused about $15,000 in damage.  When the firefighters found the crack pipe, Juliana was arrested for arson, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child neglect.
