Stupid Criminals: Thieves Try Siphoning Gas Out of a Bus and Get a Surprise

In this edition of Stupid Criminals, we find some thieves who decide to steal gas from a bus but get something else instead.

According to Yahoo News, some thieves in western Australia wanted to siphon gas out of a tour bus last week.  They snuck up in the middle of the night, stuck a hose in the tank, and started sucking on it to get the gas flowing.

Only they put the hose in the wrong place, so instead of siphoning gas, they were siphoning from the sewage tank.

A police sergeant reported, "We can infer they [made] a very hasty retreat, with a somewhat bitter taste in their mouth."

Police are still trying to track them down.
