Looking for something for your little ones to do this summer? Want to make sure they can save your home in case it catches on fire! We have the perfect solution! Summer is here and many kids are now playing the fun game of telling their parents they're bored and want something to do. This is when it's a great time to sign your child up for a summer camp to pass the time and maybe let them find a new activity they enjoy. The El Paso Fire Department wants to help, and they could teach your child some extremely valuable knowledge that could potentially save your home and you and your family's lives.

The El Paso Fire Department is holding their Summer Youth Camp where kids will learn fire and life safety lessons. They will also be taught the skills needed for search and rescue operations plus team-building skills. Only 20 students will be given the opportunity to attend this camp and those who have not attended before will be given preference. The deadline to submit applications is June 15, 2019 and applications must be filed at the Training Academy located at 6800 Delta Drive inside Ascarate Park. The Academy is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Summer Camp will run from July 17 through July 19th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. Campers will need to bring their own sack lunch and wear comfortable clothing and shoes but NO SANDALS. Find out more information here.
