WINTER IS COMING: The Farmers’ Almanac is Predicting Tons of Snow for Midland/Odessa
Most people in our area take aren’t dreaming of a white Christmas, I said most. I happen to absolutely LOVE snow! I love it, I love it, I love it! When I was a kid watching movies with snow in them was like my version of having a crush on a celebrity. Even now if someone saw the way I look at the screen whenever “Home alone” is on they might think I just have a strong affinity for nostalgic movies. They would be wrong. Let me put it this way folks, get you somebody who looks at you the way that I look at snow. So you can imagine my excitement when I was browsing through the Farmers’ Almanac for winter 2017, as I do every year about this time, and read the words that had me squealing like a school girl. 2017 winter will be colder than normal with above normal precipitation, snowiest periods in late December and early to mid-February!!!!!!!!! A WHITE CHRISTMAS ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!? Is this the year? Did my letters to Santa since I was 7 years old (and continually ever since) finally drive the old man to madness? Did I break him? All I know is that’s what I said and if it’s in writing it has to be true right? Granted the general consensus is that the Farmers’ Almanac is basically the equivalent to “fake news” for weather but do you think that’s dampened my excitement any? NOPE! I believe in positive thinking and writing a letter to Santa every day of December since I was 7 years old until he bends to my will! So get ready you guys, this winter we’re getting our white Christmas.
