According the the City of Odessa, TX website posted yesterday, there have been reports of fraudulent GoFundMe pages in the names of the victims from the mass shooting here in Odessa/Midland on Saturday, August 31st. The FBI is warning the public to take precautions before donating and look out for suspicious emails, telephone calls and websites soliciting donations.  They are asking that if anyone see's any such suspicious solicitations or finds any of the fraudulent GoFundMe accounts to report them to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at

For anyone interested in donating but are wary of fraudulent sites the Odessa Chamber of Commerce has set up a Paypal account to assist with funerals and medical care of the victims and victims families at

Ector County ISD created a Crisis Resources page to help those affected by Saturday’s mass shooting.

Odessa's City Council will be holding a press conference at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3.

The press conference will be held in the City Council Chambers on the 5th floor of City Hall.
