Pinterest Project…Didn’t Nail it

So I've been trying all sorts of projects since I've had more time at home. Sure I could be doing what most people are doing, being productive like cleaning or exercising but where's the fun in that? So here I am at home, mostly unsupervised, doing all the things I never have time for, like organizing my craft slash getting ready room and I come across a huge container of pink glitter. When I say huge I mean like a tub of it. I had dumped out a bunch of various shades of pink glitter with the idea to do a sort of clear gloss coat on some shelves or possibly the kitchen table.... pretty sure I got the idea from something I saw on Pinterest. All you have to do is mix glitter in with some clear Mod Podge. I don't know if I read that somewhere or just made it up because it didn't work the way I thought it would. Oh sure, it's glittery a.f. but as you can see the stuff didn't dry clear so it's not the look I was going for. Here is the picture I saw and what I thought it was going to look like so you can get an idea of just how wrong mine turned out.
