In honor of the passing of music legend David Bowie, The Museum of the Southwest is kicking off their 'SciFridays" with a tribute to the late singer/actor.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, SciFridays has been a very popular thing with the museum for a few years now, so this year they thought it would be fitting to kick off the movie festival by honoring the late David Bowie with a screening of the 1986 film "Labyrinth" which featured the late performer.

Curator of education and organizer of the film festival, Kristen Wagstrom stated that the tribute is not all about the film and there will be a David Bowie costume contest and trivia for participants to win prizes.

To see the full list of films featured for the entire run of SciFridays, you can find it at MRT.com
