Finding Ways to Help
There are lots of ways to help during these crazy times. Some people have money to give, some have special skills....I have neither of those things but I do happen to be what some would call a "ya never know" hoarder. That's someone who will find something on sale that they know they could use at some point and buy a bunch of it, just in case. I've had a tub of material stashed away for like...geez I dunno, maybe 2 years. When I saw it just sitting in a corner I figured what the hell, I don't even remember what I was going to do with that. So I I'm making pet beds to donate to local rescue organizations. It's not much, I know, but it's what I can do. That's really all anyone can do right now isn't it? What they can. If we all just do what we can to help it could really make a difference. I'm rather partial to pups so this was something I knew I could so for the members of a family that some people decide are expendable. They drop them off at the pound or on the side of the road when things get tough and don't give them a second thought. Not us. Snoop is a part of our family and we would never give him up. Lots of folks in this area are giving up a family member. Like I posted in a previous blog, if you've been thinking about fostering or adopting a pet, please consider a rescue. This area has thier hands full. If you do and you need a bed (and I still have material on hand) I'll make you one and even deliver it myself.
