If you've ever thought about having dessert before dinner, well, you're in luck. That could actually help you lose weight. According to an article at the Daily Mail, eating a tiny bit of dark chocolate before meals can help you shed some pounds.

How does this strange sorcery work? Well, basically the dark chocolate makes you feel full. Or at least more full than you normally would. On average, the people who ate dark chocolate before their meals ate 20% less calories.

Now, on the flip side, you don't want to eat white chocolate before a meal. Those people in the study who did that actually ate more. White chocolate eaters ate 10% more calories than the milk chocolate group, and a whopping 30% more calories than the dark chocolate group.

The people who conducted the study believe that dark chocolate causes you to digest carbs more slowly, which then suppresses your appetite.
