Do You Think Anyone Will Actually Do It?

Unless you have been in a coma the past 2 weeks, you've probably seen all the memes, posts, and hype about the Area 51 raid. Personally, I'm kind of over it. However, that doesn't mean I haven't put some thought towards it. Over 700,000 people have marked themselves as going. Now do I think even 100,000 will show up? Absolutely not....but think about it. Even if 1% of those people show up, that's 7,000 people. There are a ton of crazy people in the world and you know, at least 1% these wackos are dead serious. I'm seriously worried for their safety. I know we joke about dumb people doing things to get themselves hurt but it's hard to imagine 7,000 people getting mowed down because someone was just trying to make a joke. The idea is really funny...unless a bunch of people actually try it. Do you think there's a chance that a few thousand people might be taking this too seriously?
