You've got to love the state of Texas. From the top of the Panhandle to the beaches of Corpus Christi the state is full of a variety of people and places.
If you've spent any time in Texas at all you know there are plenty of places that are very unique, to say the least. Sometimes even a little bit odd. What am I talking about? Well, when is the last time you've seen a meteor crater? How about the world's largest caterpillar? Yep, they're all in Texas and that's not all. Let's check out some of these very unique attractions.

Giant Eyeball - Dallas
Artist Tony Tassett made this sculpture of a giant eyeball that he patterned after his own. The sculpture spent time in Chicago before being relocated to Dallas.
The Cadillac Ranch - Amarillo
This art project is the brainchild of Stanley Marsh who was a panhandle area tycoon. It's not every day you see 10 buried Cadillacs painted with graffiti.
Dr. Pepper Museum - Waco
One of the tastiest drinks around and a Texas favorite has its roots in Waco.
Worlds Largest Shovel - Creedmoor
At over 40 feet, this isn't your ordinary shovel. It supposedly has even been entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Large Rubik's Cube - Chillicothe
Here's a blast from the past...supersized. Located right outside the coffee shop. Check it out and stop in for a cup.
The First Hilton Hotel - Cisco
You can't actually stay in it as a hotel any longer but this was the first hotel bought by Conrad Hilton and the rest is history.
King Tut Statue - Brownsville
Artist Miguel Antonio Horn carved this exact replica of the King Tut statue in Egypt. It was unveiled in 2013.
Teepee Motel - Wharton
Feel like spending the night in a teepee? You can in Texas. Built in the 1940s, they were rebuilt and reopened in 2006.
Get some spiritual healing at this stop. The cross is rumored to be the 2nd largest cross in the Western Hemisphere.
Texas Giant Swimming Pool - Plano
Gallons and gallons of Texas compete with slides, diving boards, snack bars, and the works.
