While all the pretty, far less awkward girls were busy practicing their surprised face for when all the cute boys asked them to prom I was busy trying to figure out how I would pay for dress from some cheap, slightly ghetto establishment while also dreading a night I knew would be absolutely no fun...at least not for me.

I never got to experience getting asked to prom the way most girls in high school did.  I had a boyfriend, a very possessive, quiet, not outgoing, somewhat boring, totally basic boyfriend.  He was not the kind to attend such gatherings but since it was just the thing to do we showed up for a picture and left shortly thereafter.  There was no dancing, no hanging out with friends and taking funny pictures....no memories....at all.

You are now encouraged to collectively feel bad for me at this point.....feel free to make the sympathetic "oohh" face, not to be confused with the other more enjoyable "oohh" face..lol...I crack me up.  MOVING ON!

All I am saying is that everyone should get to experience prom the way its meant to be experienced, with the proposal, pretty princess dress with sparkles and glitter and bling oh my!  All your friends should be there taking random pictures you can laugh at later, there should be plenty of dancing like its 1999 and some slow dancing too cause we cant forget the obligatory zombie style, arms straight out on each others shoulders slow dance that comes at the end of every prom that happened before the year 2000.

Second Chance Prom is exactly what is sounds like, a second chance at an experience that a lot of us didn't have.  Then again maybe your prom was the tits, come show us how its done baby!!!!
