You’re Working for Free, A Lot
Holy crap, 2017 is almost over. How did the year fly by so quickly? Probably because you were working for free a whole lot.
According to a new survey, you worked about 38 (Yes, THIRTY EIGHT) free days this year. Here's how the numbers break down.
- The average person starts working 17 minutes BEFORE their official start time.
- Then they take 29 minutes fewer for a lunch break than they're allowed.
- They wrap up their day by working 16 minutes AFTER their shift ends.
- Even when not at work the average goes through emails for about 16 minutes per day.
So how does all that add up? Well, that's ONE HOUR and 18 MINUTES of free work per day. Which comes out to working for 38 days for free.
