Stone Cold made the term famous in the WWE Universe, and now WWE has successfully trademarked 3:16.

Man, I wonder if Jesus is going to be mad about this.

1996 was a huge year for Steve Austin. He debuted his new finisher, the Stone Cold Stunner, became "Stone Cold," shaved his head and grew a goatee. Then at King of  the Ring that year Stone Cold gave us possibly the one of the most iconic, spontaneous lines in WWE promo history.

After defeating born-again Christian Jake "the Snake" Roberts, Austin said this to Roberts:

"You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere! Talk about your Psalms, talk about John 3:16, Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass!"

successfully trademarked the term 3:16 to use on WWE merchandise. Shirts were sold at the Los Angeles Raw back on June 28th with Los Angeles 3:16 on them. The WWE Universe has noticed that WWE has been selling shirts with various cities names on them recently so look for your city in the future!
