You could win a $1.3 million dollar house in Canada by writing an essay about why you deserve the mansion. When you here you could win a house for less than twenty bucks, most people assume that it has to be a scam. But one woman in Canada says she's not joking, you could win her house by writing her an essay about why you deserve the home.

Nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada is a 5,000 square foot home owned by Alla Wagner. The home is valued at $1.3 million dollars but after 5 months on the market, the place still hadn't sold. So Wagner came up with a new plan, inspired by the movie The Spitfire Grill. In the movie, a restaurant owner holds an essay contest to find a new owner for the bar and grill. So Wagner is having an essay contest of her own where a $19 entry fee and a 350 essay could land you this beautiful dream home. Alla Wagner needs to get 68,000 entries into the contest to reach the market value of her home and then will start going through the submissions. If the contest doesn't get the minimum number of entries or the house sells, the contest will be canceled and money will be refunded.

According to CTV News, Alla Wagner will personally go through all the applicants for the contest and choose 500 finalists for the contest. Then an independent panel of judges will go through the finalists and decide who the winner is. If you would like to enter the contest, you can enter at this page.
