As it appears, our country is headed for a recession. The price of everything is going up with no relief in sight. I don't know what has gone up, more gas or groceries. People in the state of Texas and all over the country need help. If you are a recipient of assistance, if you haven't already, you will see an increase in your benefits this month.

Governor Greg Abbott announced yesterday that Texas  Health and Human Services would be providing more than $305.5 million in emergency Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food benefits for the month of August. The allotments are expected to help about 1.5 million Texas households. Each household is set to receive a minimum increase of $95

Texas has approved the allotment of extra food stamps in August 2022. If you receive SNAP benefits, you can expect to receive your emergency allotment food stamps benefits anytime from August 1st through August 5th.

As for your regular EBT deposit schedule for August 2022, this will be determined by the last digit of your EDG number. This number will let you know when you can expect to receive your regular food stamps this month in Texas. You can see a chart above to tell you when you might receive your August benefits. Texas.GOV
