A mother was arrested after smashing into an officer in San Antonio.

SCHOOL TRAFFIC DURING A BUSY MORNING

32-year-old Susan Rodriguez was traveling down a road near a charter school in San Antonio. She quickly found herself in the midst of traffic caused by nearby school children loading and unloading.

Rodriguez became frustrated and was in a time crunch. She had started her day early and was in the midst of dropping off her child at school. Rodriguez became increasingly aggravated since she was in a time crunch and was already running late for work.

RECKLESS AND FRUSTRATED

Traffic was carefully directed by a school policeman; however, the whole situation was moving too slowly for Rodriguez. According to the affidavit, Rodriguez began trying to recklessly pivot her way around school traffic.

Spotting Rodriguez, the officer ordered her to get back in line with her car and follow normal traffic. Fed up with how slowly things were going Rodriguez told the officer, "I don't have time for this. I'm late for work," according to the affidavit.

AN ENTITLED FIT OF RAGE

Without skipping a beat, Rodriguez turned her wheels in the deputy's direction. She pressed on the gas and tried to skip past the traffic, however in her entitled fit she struck the nearby officer, which was also caught on body cam.

According to the arrest affidavit, she heard the impact of the officer, however, she refused to stop. The officer quickly chased Rodriguez down and arrested her, she now faces Aggravated Assault Against a Public Service charges.
