Every Wednesday we feature a different pet that needs a new forever home here in the Basin from Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals. Sometimes it's a dog, sometimes it's a cat. They haven't had any guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, or snakes---yet. But you never know!

Meet Ivy!

She is a 10-month-old pit mix! If you are looking for a sweet girl that could be a friend to your dog, get along with your children and your cats, Ivy checks all of the boxes! She loves butt scratches and head rubs! Ivy is learning to play with toys and knows how to sit on command. She is still a puppy and could benefit a lot from basic obedience training. Due to her size and energy level, She is not recommended for apartment living and needs a fenced-in yard to run! Ivy would benefit from a canine buddy to help boost her confidence. If this adorable girl sounds like the perfect addition to your household, come see her during visiting hours of 1-4:30 pm every day but Thursdays!

And if for some reason you're not looking for a pet right now--please click SHARE and post this to your social media so we can help Zion find his forever home. Or perhaps you're looking for a different new furry friend. There are so many fur babies who would love to meet you so stop by and pay them a visit! There are plenty of dogs and cats to choose from who would love to be your next family member.

The Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals can always use supplies as well so if you can, stop by and drop off a donation to help the staff care for the shelter animals till they can find their forever homes. Needed right now:
