Permian VS OHS Tickets On Sale Today

It's cross town rivalry week in  Odessa this week. Friday night Odessa Permian will take on Odessa High at Ratliff Stadium. Tickets are on sale as of this morning.

Tickets are on sale now at Ratliff Stadium. They box office will remain open until pm or until sell out. Each person is limited to 10 tickets. Any tickets left unsold today will be sold at the administration building during the week. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $4 for students.

Ector County ISD is celebrating 100 years and in part of the celebration ECISD is hosting a tailgate party that is free and open to the public with none other than Odessa High alum Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers. Gates will open at 4:30pm and the concert will start  at 5:20. The concert is free and open to the public, however you will have to have a ticket for the game. Having Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers is a special treat since Larry was the quarter back for Odessa High in the 1960's

I learned something new this morning. I knew Larry Gatlin was from Odessa and graduated from OHS but I did not know he was born in Seminole, Tx.

This is games both anticipates all year long. It doesn't matter each teams record or if they are ranked, the rivalry makes the two teams play at their highest caliber. Good luck to both teams.

Be on the look out for the town to be decorated in black and white and panther paws or red and white and broncos.
