It happens more frequently than you'd think, as artists go into the studio, lay down a track and expect that it will be an afterthought only to have it become one of the bigger songs of their career. In a new interview, Slash tells WEBN radio host Kidd Chris that he wasn't initially sold on Guns N' Roses' 'Sweet Child O' Mine.'

Anytime Motorhead rock 'Ace of Spades,' it's definitely a concert highlight, but the band added an extra special touch to their performances of the track over the weekend. They brought out an extra guitarist -- special guest Slash -- to perform the song at both their Friday night Los Angeles show at Club Nokia and their Coachella performance over the weekend.

Yesterday (April 8), tour dates were released for Aerosmith's 'Let Rock Rule' tour with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy as the trek's supporting act. In celebration of the upcoming run, Aerosmith returned to Hollywood's Whisky a Go Go for the first time in over 40 years yesterday for a mini-gig with Slash as a special guest. The cat was let out of the bag a few weeks ago that Aerosmith and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators would be teaming up for a summer tour. Slash and a couple of Aerosmith members confirmed the pairing via Twitter. Now the cities and dates for the trek have been announced (see below).
