Stupid Criminals: A Man Takes His Prostitute to His Church and Steals From the Coffers to Pay Her

It takes all kinds of people to make this world turn, then there are some people like this guy who make it seem to stop.

According to the Peterborough Examiner, last July 46-year-old James Chatten of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada got himself a hooker and needed a place to take her.

So naturally any sane person's first choice would be to take her to his church where he worked.

He broke into the Christian Horizons Church and had sex with her inside the church.

Then, to make matters worse, he stole $116.06 from the church coffers to pay her.

When the police showed up, the prostitute was gone and Chatten told them that he broke into the church to get away from a mugger.

The police didn't buy the story and he confessed to stealing from the church and blamed it on his sex addiction.

In court he pleaded guilty to theft and public mischief.  He was sentenced to 100 hours of community service..
