A man in Quebec, who is paralyzed from the waist down, is suing a hospital for negligence.

According to the Toronto Sun, the anonymous man was having sex with his wife back in 2011 when something went wrong down below, and he injured his penis.

So they went to a hospital outside Montreal, but a doctor never examined him.  Instead, one of the nurses took a quick look, and then talked to a doctor on the phone, who said it sounded like minor trauma.

So they sent him home.

Then a couple weeks later, he went back to the hospital and found out the trauma was actually a major trauma and he had suffered a fractured penis.  He went in for emergency surgery, but the damage had already been done at that point.

According to the lawsuit, he was left with permanent scarring, and couldn't have sex for two years afterward.

Also, because he didn't have surgery immediately, he also lost a full inch in length.

Now, it's not clear if the reduced size of his penis or his inability to use it was to blame, but his wife ended up leaving him because of it.

In fact, he says it's impacted his life more than being paralyzed did.

He's suing for about $143,000.
