The National Toy Hall of Fame recently announced the 12 finalists for the class of 2013. Only two of the 12 will be inducted so competition is fierce.

According to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, the candidates for 2013 are: Bubbles, chess, the board game 'Clue', Fisher-Price Little People, green Army men, Magic 8-Ball, My Little Pony, Nerf toys, Pac-Man video games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the scooter, and the rubber duck.

The inductees last year for 2012 were dominoes and Star Wars action figures.

2011 had three inductees: Hot Wheels, the dollhouse, and the blanket.

The winners will be announced on November 7th.

The Toy Hall of Fame is located in Rochester, New York inside a museum dedicated to toys and games called the Strong Museum.
