The Usos are known as the current WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions, but it looks like one of the brothers just made headlines outside of the ring for bad behavior.

Jimmy and Jey Uso together make the Usos, one of the most popular tag teams in the WWE and the current Smackdown Tag Team Champions. Jimmy Uso is also well known for his relationship with E's Total Divas star Naomi. His brother Jey is also shown on the show with Jimmy and Naomi. Unfortunately for Jey, real name Joshua Fatu, he's now making headlines for reasons other than his wrestling skills.

The Usos defended their SmackDown Tag Team titles against Rusev & Aiden English and The Bludgeon Brothers in a triple threat match in Hidalgo on Sunday, then faced The New Day, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin, and Rusev & English in Corpus Christi last night. Whether Fatu will be kept off television at all remains to be seen.

The news first broke on Twitter through a user named Slice Wrestling who reported Jey's arrest for driving while intoxicated. According to reports, Jey was pulled over around 1 a.m. Sunday morning in Hidalgo County. The officer observed signs of intoxication and a field sobriety test was administered. Jey Uso showed signs of being under the influence and he was arrested and booked into the Hidalgo County Jail.

Jey Uso was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond the same day. The WWE had a live event in Hidalgo Sunday night and the Usos competed against  Rusev & Aiden English and The Bludgeon Brothers in a triple threat match. They competed in Corpus Christi the next night against The New Day, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin, and Rusev & English.

The WWE has released a statement on the arrest of Joshua Fatu aka Jey Uso:

“Joshua Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”

The Usos are scheduled to defend their Tag Team titles at the Royal Rumble on January 28th against Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin in a two-out-of-three-falls match.
