Two Midland Men Take a Felony Joyride on a Motorized Shopping Cart

If you are gonna joyride on a motorized shopping cart, its best to leave it in the store instead of joyriding down the street.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, 19-year-old Domenic and 24-year-old Nicholas Overbey were both being held on a $10,000 bond for a state jail felony charge of theft.

Saturday morning around 2 a.m., a Midland County investigator was on routine patrol and saw the two men riding on a motorized shopping cart going down Midland Drive.

When he stopped the two subjects, they said they had found the cart down the road.

But after the investigator contacted the store the cart belonged to, the manager said he wanted to press charges on the two men for stealing the cart.

If convicted the two men face up to two years in prison.
