New Seltzer Alert: Texas Brewery Launching “Hot Dog Water” Flavor
As we get ready for the 4th of July weekend, one of the big items that's going on the grill at every cookout is hot dogs or as the kids call them nowadays "Glizzies". Another big item you'll find this weekend is the now "trendy" thing to drink "hard seltzers" like "White Claw". Growing up the only seltzer I knew about was Alka-Seltzer, now there's an entire grocery aisle dedicated to these drinks. What if I told you someone said "let's combine hot dog water and hard seltzers and see what we can make?".
A Fort Worth Based Brewery Has Announced Their New Flavor And It Has Everybody Talking.
According to KENS, Fort Worth-based Martin House Brewing Company is launching the new flavor based off "Hot Dog Water", the leftover water from boiling hot dogs and slapping it into a hard seltzer. The Awesome Sauce: Bun Length Hot Dog Water Seltzer will be 5.2% ABV.
Martin House Brewing Is No Stranger To Weird Flavors
The brewery is behind other unique flavors such as the Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer, Murph Juice, a BBQ sauce beer, Buffalo Wangz, a buffalo wing sauce sour beer, and even an "Elf"-themed beer brewed with spaghetti, syrup and M&Ms. These guys are mad scientists with the beer!
The Hot Dog Water Seltzer Will Be Introduced At Glizzy Fest
Okay, time to educate you on slang. A hot dog is called a "Glizzy" by the kids these days and its used in the following context if you see someone eating one: "You wasted no time throating the glizzy... he's a real glizzy gladiator". So if you find yourself eating a hot dog around a group of teens and hear them giggling, that's probably what they are saying. Anyway, Glizzy Fest will happen on July 16 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Martin House Brewing Backyard in Fort Worth if you want to try the Hot Dog Water Seltzer.
