Is Social Media Even Affecting The Way Restaurants Design Their Tables?
Am I missing something here? I've thought about it long and hard but I can't for the life of me come up with a logical reason why a restaurant would design their dining tables like this.
The only thing that seems remotely logical to me is maybe they do it this way now because everyone is on their phones while they eat now anyway. Keep in mind, this place was fairly busy and NO ONE was sitting at the tables like this, which makes me think I'm not the only one confused by these tables. It's bothered me all weekend. I keep sitting here trying to think of a reason why. The social media theory kind of makes sense but even still...Take away the option to speak across the table completely? Keep in mind that this is a major chain. I just can't.
If you know the real reason please fill me in.
