One of the biggest metal festivals in the world just took place over in Wacken, Germany. The festival is called Wacken Open Air, and it's apparently so big, a couple of elderly gentlemen decided they needed to escape their nursing home to attend the festival.

The nursing staff contacted police when they noticed that two of the home's residents were missing. The two were found at the festival at 3am, 'disoriented and dazed.' But, don't worry, the two were actually really into the music.

"They obviously liked the metal festival," police spokesperson Merle Neufeld said. "The care home quickly organised return transport after police picked them up."

Now, you're probably wondering what bands were performing at this year's Wacken Open Air. Well, here are some of the bands:

  • Dokken
  • Danzig
  • Tremonti
  • Hatebreed
  • Vince Neil
  • Judas Priest
  • Ghost
  • Fozzy

And those bands just barely scratch the surface of how many bands were actually performing there. I would probably do the same thing as the two guy who broke out of the old folks home.
