Eagles of Death Metal to Tour North America With Mastodon
This spring, progressive metal stars Mastodon will embark on a North American tour. Opening up for them will be the Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles.
The Eagles of Death Metal broke the news on their Facebook page, noting that tickets for all shows will go on sale this Friday (Jan. 13) at 10AM local time. In their announcement, Mastodon said that every pair of tickets purchased comes with a physical or digital copy of their upcoming record, which can be redeemed as soon as it's released.
The tour, which includes a handful of festival appearances, will begin on April 14 at the Wilma Theater in Missoula, Mont., and they'll wrap it up on May 20 at ACL Live in Austin. You can see all the dates below and get full details on the Eagles of Death Metal's website.
Next month, HBO will premiere a documentary called Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends). The film, which was directed by Colin Hanks, chronicles the band's journey from the November 2015 terrorist attack at the Bataclan theater in Paris during one of their shows, which resulted in the deaths of 89 people, to their return three weeks later, when they joined U2 on stage.
