Dollar Tree Glue Gun Recall

Did you guys hear about the recall on those Dollar Tree Glue Guns? Some Family Dollar stores were selling them too but they're mostly found at the Dollar Tree. They are the Crafters Square brand black and orange glue guns. I just bought one yesterday to bring to my mom's house for Easter. When you're a family of crafters you can never have too many glue guns. I just happened to notice those little article about these glue guns and now I guess I have to run and go get another before I leave. In case any of you happened to have one it might be safe to go ahead and chunk it. Reports of fires and injuries linked to the 1$ glue guns have prompted one million of them to be recalled nation wide.  The recall involves Crafter’s Square Glue Guns sold for about $1 nationwide at Dollar Tree stores from August 2020 through February 2022 and at Family Dollar stores in January and February 2022, according to an article written by Newswest9.com. The Dollar Tree reports having received seven incidents of "electrical malfunctions", four fires and one report of skin irritation while using the glue gun.  Dollar Tree did not elaborate on what the malfunction was.

According to the News West 9 article, Consumers are urged to stop using the Crafter’s Square Glue Guns and unplug them immediately. They can be returned to Dollar Tree or Family Dollar for a full refund. Those who bought the guns at www.dollartree.com will be contacted directly, Dollar Tree said.
