At least five Dallas law enforcement officers are dead and more wounded in what on witness describes 'like a little war.' Three suspects are in custody and a fourth suspect is dead following last night's deadly attack on police.

Dallas police officials are saying that snipers perched on downtown parking garages opened fire on officers last night. The officers were patrolling a peaceful protest over the recent police shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota.

The violence erupted around 9 p.m. This is the deadliest day for U.S. law enforcement since the September 11th terrorist attacks nearly 15 years ago.

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings called it 'heartbreaking.' President Obama is in Poland, he called the attack'vicious, calculated and despicable.
