Not Taking My Mans Last Name Cuz HIs Ex Has The Same First Name

Buzz Question- Getting married but I'm not taking my man's LAST NAME and here's why. His EX has the same first name as me and I'm not going to have her name! Yes, my man is bummed about this ands thinks it's silly. And, really wants me to take his name. Sorry, he just doesn't understand. I'm not being ridiculous on this am I?

Hell yes you are. If I were I'd call off the whole wedding and end the relationship because of that. Men are territorial and a wife without his last name is very disrespectful

I think it’s ridiculous for anyone nowadays to expect someone to change their name. It’s unnecessary legally speaking. So, do what you want. It definitely sounds like it would cause confusion in the future if y’all both have the same name.
