April 10, 2014 was a pinnacle night for rock music. In their first year of eligibility, Nirvana were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before launching into a unique performance with the surviving Nirvana members jamming classic tracks with rotating female vocalists. Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic Reflects on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Performances

At the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the surviving members of Nirvana put on a performance for the ages. Drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic and guitarist Pat Smear pounded out a four-song set of Nirvana tunes with a rotation of female vocalists taking on each song. Joan Jett, Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, St. Vincent and pop superstar Lorde all took part, and in a new blog post by Novoselic, the musician reminisces about the hallmark night.
