Lamb of God’s John Campbell Leaves Tour Due to Family Emergency, Fear Factory Bassist Fills In

Fans who attended the Lamb of God show Tuesday night (Nov. 12) in Vancouver, British Columbia were probably a little surprised to see Fear Factory’s Matt DeVries playing bass for the band. According to reports, DeVries is the temporary replacement for John Campbell, who was recently sidelined by a family emergency.

The trailer for the documentary was interesting enough, but no one could have guessed that only days after the teaser was released, singer Randy Blythe would be locked away in a Czech prison.

Lamb of God to Unleash 10th Anniversary Edition of ‘As the Palaces Burn’

Back in 2003, Lamb of God were an up-and-coming band who had just released their second album 'As the Palaces Burn.' A decade later, they are one of the biggest bands in metal, and will issue a 10th anniversary edition of the landmark album on Nov. 11. A remixed and remastered version of the song 'Purified' from the album is now available via Revolver (listen above).

Lamb of God Not Playing Malaysia Gig Following Death Threats and Government Ministry Decision

After reports surfaced last week that government agencies in Malaysia were looking to ban Lamb of God from playing their Sept. 28 gig at the Rockaway Festival in Kuala Lumpur, a decision has now been made to prevent the American metal band from performing in the country. In addition, the promoter of the festival at which Lamb of God were to play also nixed the show because of death threats to the band.

Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe was found not guilty of manslaughter by a Czech court on March 5. Since the judgement was handed down to Blythe, Lamb of God picked up right where they left off and hit the road to blast fans with 'Pure American Metal.' Along with seeing the band live, relieved Lamb of God fans can now watch a short film created by Randy Blythe, meant to represent the singer's state of mind throughout the legal process.
