Strong Man and Woman Competition Being Held to Benefit Late Midland Firefighter
Show off your strength and help benefit the family of late Midland firefighter Aaron Hughes.
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, May 16th is the date of the inaugural Strong Man and Woman competition in Midland.
The event is hosted by the Midland Fire Department and Heroes Fitness.
A press release on the competition described it as follows:
"The Strong Man Challenge will consist of pulling a 50,000-pound fire truck 50 feet, flipping a 550-pound tire 50 feet and dragging a 200-pound mannequin 50 feet; The Strong Woman Challenge will consist of pulling a 12,000-pound fire truck 25 feet, flipping a 150-pound tire 25 feet and dragging a 75-pound mannequin 25 feet."
The Strong Man and Woman Competition will take place at the Heroes Fitness location on Midland Drive from 9 am-1 pm on Saturday, May 16.
Registration will be $30 per participant.
