Since releasing ‘King Animal’ back in November of 2012, Soundgarden have been busy, but not too busy to visit outer space for their new video. Their latest work is the cosmic clip for the album's third single ‘Halfway There.’

The video features an astronaut roaming through the galaxy as celestial images pass through the shield of his helmet, making for quite a spectacular visual effect. The vibe of the video is very laid back; welcoming fans aboard for a trip throughout the galaxy as Chris Cornell’s signature vocals wail out, ‘And how far is halfway there? / I didn't see you on the trail / Did almost become good enough? / Should a good life be so hard won /is that what our dreams have become?

More of a conceptual clip, the band doesn't make an appearance until close to the end and even then, it's only for a few fleeting moments as their faces fade in and out. The intent was seemingly focused on allowing the intense imagery throughout the video to lead the charge.

The video was directed by Josh Graham. Graham also serves as the band’s art director and directed the clip for ‘Been Away Too Long.’

In other Soundgarden news, the veteran rockers just kicked off their European tour with dates through mid-September. Upon returning to the States, Cornell will head out on a solo tour this fall. Check out all the dates and locations below:
