Back in 1992,  fan Joe Wolfe ran into Eddie Vedder and the band at a Cincinnati, Ohio, movie theater. The band was in town to play the iconic Bogarts club. Wolfe tells Diffuser what happened during that encounter:

“I ran into [Vedder] and the band when they all went to the theater to see ‘Wayne’s World.’ There weren’t camera phones back then and he said he would do a picture with me the next time I saw him.”

Vedder fulfilled his promise, but it took more than 20 years. Wolfe happened to run into Pearl Jam's frontman again in Cincinnati before their recent concert at U.S. Bank Arena and told Vedder the story. But, Vedder did not take a picture with him at that time.

Fear not, Pearl Jam fans, the story does have a happy ending. During the concert, Vedder talked about the story onstage and explained why he didn't take the photo back in the day (watch the video above). Wolfe says that after the concert, Vedder finally posed for that photo. In addition, Wolfe got a hearty handshake, autograph and guitar pick. Check out the photo of Vedder and Wolfe below.
