Paul Di'Anno has had his share of health issues in recent year and recently the former Iron Maiden singer was rushed to the hospital, resulting in the cancelation of his Brazilian tour.

The singer had eight dates scheduled in the South American country starting June 2, but has been forced to nix them all as he awaits a proper diagnosis regarding his condition following a series of tests. The news was announced through Blog n Roll Produções, the tour's promoter, on their Facebook page. Below is a translation of the post, though some words and phrasing may not be entirely accurate.

It is with great regret that we are obliged to inform all the indefinite postponement of the tour of Paul Dianno by Brazil in the next month of June. Paul is in the hospital and, today in the morning, we have been informed directly for him that his table of health at the moment is extremely delicate. Exams are being made to obtain the diagnosis I need, but there isn't a term for that diagnosis, because the necessary treatment and their period of recovery.
We work with Paul in the past year and all I can say is that he was great with all the people involved in the tour. He became a friend to all and we are very sad with the news. We want to see him again on the road as soon as possible.
We are available to clarify issues related to the shows marked (where all their contractors and local partners have already been duly warned by us throughout the day today) and we ask for the understanding in the sense that we do not develop in relation to the state of health Paul. This is a private matter and such detailed breakdown it's not up to us, but only to him.
Grateful for the understanding of all,
Blog N Roll Productions

Di'Anno had been performing onstage in a wheelchair as he continues to deal with knee problems. Originally scheduled to go under the knife nearly one year ago, he suffered setbacks from injuries and had to push his surgery back by six months in late August of 2015. Remaining in the wheelchair for performances will help reduce further injury to the knee.

Speaking with CM TV, he spoke about the seated performances, stating, "Unfortunately, I have these injuries now, so I cannot stand up onstage; I have to sit to sing. But it's worked in Wacken [Open Air festival] and everywhere in Brazil. I think the fans don't give a s--t to see me; they just wanna hear me sing. So maybe six months I have to do this before the [knee] operation. I still wanna play, so I sit down and sing."

Initially planning to retire in 2013, Di'Anno has remained on the road performing cuts not only from the first two Iron Maiden records, but material from Battlezone, Killers and his solo albums.
