We are getting into the full swing of summer time activities finally.  Aside from the trip and/or trips you're planning on taking during this years summer vacation, there's still plenty of time for other fun stuff you can do without going anywhere.

If you like being outside in the fresh air and listening to live music with the whole family you're in luck.  I live here in Midland so I know that The Museum of The
Southwest has a Summer Sunday lawn concert series that they hold annually (aside from the time taken off due to the pandemic). This year once again they're inviting the community to come out armed with chairs and blankets, kids and drinks, and get set up on the lawn of The Turner Mansion and get ready to rock.  The summer Sunday lawn concert series is something everyone looks forward to every year.  It's a chance to get out in the fresh summer air, relax with family and enjoy some awesome, free, live music.

The Summer Sunday lawn concert series starts in June, concerts are every Sunday in June starting at 7 p.m. on the lawn of The Turner Mansion at 1701 W Missouri Ave here in Midland. Bring some chairs and blankets and some refreshments and you're all set.

The FREE summer concert series is made possible by the generosity of the musicians, corporate sponsors, underwriters and media sponsors.

For a full schedule of concerts and additional information visit the website here.

Downtown Odessa inc. and Odessa Arts is also presenting a summer concert series called Hot Summer Nights for the months of June and July.  The concerts will be Fridays in June at the Ector Theater and Fridays in July at Noel Heritage Plaza.
