It feels a little weird to say this, but it's true: Dakota Fanning is all grown up, and she's pretty dang cute. The 19-year-old actress already has a long history in Hollywood, and it looks like the best is still to come.

Born in Conyers, GA, Dakota was raised in a major sports family: Her mother a professional tennis player, her father a minor league baseball plater, her grandfather is former American football player Rick Arrington, and her aunt was an ESPN correspondent.

Fanning got her start in local community theatre, and in 2000 appeared in a Tide commercial. Her first significant acting role came on NBC's long-running drama 'E.R.' where she played a child car accident victim with leukemia. Tough breaks, kid. After that, she appeared on several TV shows, including, 'CSI,' 'The Practice,' 'Ally McBeal' and 'Spin City.'

In 2001, she was cast opposite Sean Penn in the film 'I Am Sam,' where she played his daughter. At just 7 years old, her performance led her to be the youngest person ever nominated for a SAG award. She also starred in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi miniseries 'Taken,' and played the younger version of Reese Witherspoon's character in 'Sweet Home Alabama.'

Her acting credits list is too long to cover, but she's been a constant presence in Hollywood. 2013 is going to be a big year for Dakota; she has three films set to release this year, 'Effie,' 'Very Good Girls,' and 'Night Moves.' Check out more pics of the lovely Ms. Fanning below.
