Powdered liquor was just recently approved by the U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, so you could soon be seeing it on store shelves.

According to Gawker, powdered liquor is just that, a powdered form of common drinks and bottled alcohol.

A company called Palcohol figured out how to turn such things as vodka, rum, cosmopolitans, kamikazes, mojitos, margaritas and lemon drops into powdered form.  Just add water and stir and you have a drink.

The Palcohol website had a lot of suggestions like, "Some of our favorite [foods] are the kamikaze in guacamole, rum on a barbecue sandwich, cosmo on a salad, and vodka on eggs in the morning to start your day off right."

They also pointed out, "Yes, you can snort it and you'll get drunk almost instantly because the alcohol will be absorbed so quickly in your nose."

But they started getting a lot of attention, as one would figure, and decided it was too over-the-top and potentially dangerous so they changed their website.

The powder is scheduled to hit stores in the fall.
