Cellphone Left Behind Catches Church Thief

A thief trying to escape the scene of a crime left his cellphone behind helping lead cops to catch the burglar.  

The thief allegedly swiped an xBox from the Mission Hills Church in San Marcos, California but left his cellphone lying where the xBox had been located.

So much for an easy theft, authorities used the mobile device to find out where the suspect lived and quickly went there to find the stolen items.

The 17-year-old thief was arrested and taken to a local juvenile facility.
