Burglar gets caught by stopping to have a beer
A Clarksville, Tennessee man was charged with burglary after a resident returned home Friday morning to find the suspect in the backyard drinking beer, reports The Tennessean.
According to a press release issued by the Clarksville Police Department, the resident contacted authorities after he noticed Kylan Brock standing in the backyard with a beer in one hand and another beer in his back pocket. The homeowner knew Brock, but had not authorized him to enter his home. According to a police report, the homeowner told officers Brock admitted he had been in the home and took beer from the refrigerator.
Brock fled on foot, but was caught by police a short time later. Police say Brock was found to be in possession of stolen property from the home, and investigators found an ID he had left behind in the residence.
