A Day to Remember Announce Second ‘Self Help’ Festival With Bring Me the Horizon + More

Self Help Festival Philadelphia 2014
Self Help Festival

A Day to Remember have just announced plans for their second Self Help Festival. The band independently produced the first fest earlier this year in California, but this time they’re headed off to Philadelphia on Oct. 4.

Putting together a festival isn’t easy, especially when you consider the financial aspects. However, A Day to Remember must have been happy with the result, because just six months after the first Self Help Festival, A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon, the Wonder Years, the Story So Far, Motionless in White, Chiodos and Gnarwolves have been confirmed for the fest’s second edition. Even more acts will be announced soon.

This will mark A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon and the Story So Far’s second Self Help performances.

Speaking about the name of the inaugural festival, ADTR singer Jeremy McKinnon shared, “It actually came from a conversation I was having with my girlfriend and Josh’s about what it’s like to be in the crowd at one of our shows. She told me that most people who come respond like its more than just a concert to them. It’s like the music is genuinely helping them … Thus we titled our festival Self Help, because at the end of the day, that’s what music’s all about.”

“We eventually want this festival to go a lot of places, so this is just the first step in that direction,” A Day To Remember’s Jeremy McKinnon says in a new statement. “‘Self Help’ is a festival done right! There will be amazing bands and an amazing production in Philadelphia.”

A third Self Help festival, which will be held back in California, is also being planned for March 2015.

The second Self Help Festival will be held in the middle of A Day to Remember’s 2014 tour. For the full list of dates, click here. To grab tickets for the October event, click here.
