Your Family Can Stay With Giraffes At This Texas Getaway A Short Drive From Midland/Odessa
If you are looking for an unbelievable, one-of-a-kind experience, you need to take your family to Longneck Manor. At this, over the 100-acre farm, you can actually stay with and learn about giraffes and rhinos.
Who wouldn't love to go on an African Safari? I think we all would, but if you are like me, it's just not in the budget. You can now get pretty close to an African Safari right here in Texas, in fact just about four hours from here in Fredericksburg. Please allow me to introduce you to Longneck Manor.
Welcome to the Longneck Manor website, a unique conservation adventure in the Texas Hill Country. If you like giraffes, white rhinos, cheetahs (coming 2022), and Labrador retrievers you will have a great time visiting us in Fredericksburg, Texas (about 75 miles from the Austin or San Antonio airports).
Not only do you get to learn and interact with the animals on Longneck Manor but you can actually stay the night with them. The Air BND type setup is located on the second story of the giraffe barn that is full of windows for the giraffes to peek in on you and enjoy the family fun. It's an apartment type set up with 1200 square feet with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and spa-like bathroom. The Giraffe Suite sleeps up to four people with a king-size bed and sofa bed. The cost to stay in the Giraffe Suite is $1300 per night during regular dates and $1500 during the holiday season. Guests also have access to a swimming pool and private lake, and tours of the ranch (including animal encounters!) can be arranged. There is a two-night minimum stay in the Giraffe Suite. So, if you feel like eyes are watching you, they probably are.
You not only get to enjoy the giraffes but rhinos and golden retrievers as well.
