You Will Spend Over $17,000 on Dating in Your Lifetime

According to a new survey the average American will spend $17, 265 on dates in their lifetime.  

According to Female First, the average person goes on 13 first dates before finding their soul mate, 11 romantic dinners with different people, and seven dates that are full on disasters.

Also, one in five guys say they have taken a woman on vacation with them while they were just dating to try to impress them.

The study found that the first year of a relationship is the most expensive because couples will spend an average of $5,700 on each other within the first year of dating.  That drops to $4,200 in the second year and goes back up to $4,700 in the first year of engagement.
