Love is gentle, love is kind, love is leaving your location on 24/7?
That's what this famous TikTok couple want you to know is one of their rules in their marriage.
TikTok couple Jaden and Andy McGrew, who live in the Dallas-Fort Worth, are a little confused as to why their videos of their marriage rules caused a bit of controversy. In their videos have revealed their three marriage rules that work for them, they include:
- They share their live location with each other “24/7.”
- Second, they share all passwords with each other and “have no secrets.”
- Third, and lastly, they reveal that “hanging with the opposite gender alone” is off-limits in their marriage.
After their initial videos, they did a follow up where they were confused over the backlash:
Some of the comments include:
Tell me you don’t trust each other without telling me…
And to some, the whole "hanging out with the opposite gender" caused for some to scoff at their marriage rule:
You almost had me! I don’t care who my husband hangs out with … because I trust him.
In a New York Post article, the McGrew's reveals that these guidelines work for their marriage, and that they didn't just suddenly come up with their guidelines:
We never really sat down and came up with ‘rules,’ but that seems to be how people have interpreted it. These are just things that work for us in our current stage of life, and we were shocked to see how controversial they were!
While some of the comments were negative, a lot of them were positive, with many noting that this also works in their relationships.
