If you are like me, on a regular basis, if there are places that you frequent that ask for your name, it is also not a surprise when you are then prompted to answer, 'what is your date of birth?' Or you are asked for your phone number, address or some other form of verification. Why? Because it is highly likely that you share a name with countless other people in this area.
Now that school is officially out for pretty much everyone in Midland, Odessa and surrounding areas, the question is, what to do with the kids? For single,working mom's like myself, the task becomes finding a sitter. For others it is, well I have a teenager in my house now, is he/she old enough to stay home alone? Is he/she old enough to get a job?
If you are someone who commutes daily through our beloved streets, roads and highways of West Texas, I feel for you. I have done it for a very long time and it absolutely does not get any easier, fun or safe. Many of us, depending on our daily route, know which roads to avoid, which ones to take to make the drive a little more smooth and so on and so forth.
I am telling you right now in the late 90's early 2000's this girl was all about a Mexican pizza. It was not unusual for me to get at the very least, one a week. It was an addiction I had with Taco Bell. Then all of a sudden, I can't remember exactly why I stopped but it was like I quit cold turkey. Maybe I burned myself out? Who knows?
