Starset Offer Glimpse at Futuristic Fight for Survival With ‘Halo’ Video
What does the future hold and who will be around to protect it? That's a question that looms large in the new Starset video for "Halo."
Leader Dustin Bates and his band are back with their latest clip, which envisions a barren landscape and scary future where special forces appear to be working against scientists and that decision has led to the sorry state of the world. But there's one four-wheeling hero that's in search of the answers to change things and a female love that may hold the key to everything. Watch as the adventure plays out through time jumps in the "Halo" clip featured above.
The fact that such a heady clip comes from Starset should be of no surprise. Bates is a PhD candidate in electrical engineering and has done research for the U.S. Air Force and taught at the International Space University on top of his gig fronting Starset. And he's applied many of his thoughts on the future of humanity and what it will take to save it within the framework of the band's debut disc, Transmissions.
The album has already generated the hit singles "My Demon" and "Carnivores" as well as the previously previewed album track "Telescope." You can pick up the album via Amazon and iTunes.
