With Texas Tech being the number three seed going into the end of the week last week headed toward the Big 12 Tournament--it looked like the Red Raiders Men's Basketball was unstoppable. The three-game set all started with a decisive victory over Iowa State on Thursday, March 10th 72-41. Then came Friday's game vs Oklahoma where they eeked out a victory by one point with a final score of 56-55. It was then on to Saturday and the Big 12 Championship vs the number one seed Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas showed why they are the number one seed with an easy victory over Tech 74-65. That gives them the #1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.

Texas Tech will also advance with the #3 seed. and take on Montana State in the first game on  Friday the 18th at 12:45. So since the team is still the #3 seed, we thought we'd take a second to reflect on why we should be happy they are where they are and have accomplished what they've accomplished. First of all-no one thought they'd even be here in the first place. So THAT is a nice surprise! And now the list of reasons:

#1. THE BEAT GOES ON.

Yes, they lost the Big 12 Championship. But they made #3 seed in the NCAA Tournament-so they aren't done. There's more work to be done.

#2. DIDN'T WANT TO BEAT KANSAS ANYWAY

I mean--who wants to listen to a bunch of whiny "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" fans complaining about how their team lost? Not me.

#3. TIME CHANGE DIDN'T AFFECT SLEEP

No need to wake up early for any celebratory breakfasts, interviews, or parades... Just extra sleeping in on daylight savings time weekend. #winning
